120 Odong-Odong in Muara Angke Threatened to Be Grounded

120 owners of odong-odong mini-train that operate in Pelelangan Ikan Muara Angke area, Penjaringan, North Jakarta were given socialization about discipline and rule of odong-odong operational.

Head of North Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept, Benhard Hutajulu disclosed, there are totally 120 modified odong-odong mini-trains belong to 60 people.

"Odong-odong is not to pick up passenger, but for goods transport. This is not safety," he expressed, Tuesday (6/28).

His party has repeatedly conduct raid against odong-odong. Yet its existence is apparently much needed by people living in Muara Angke.

Therefore, socialization keeps being intensified and follow on applicable rules, one of them is not to pick up passenger on the roadside.

"According to agreement in that socialization, the point is not pick up passenger on the roadside. If the same violation is still found, the actor will be grounded," he finished.
